In some classrooms, this would elicit responses along the lines of dog, horse, or kitty. Not in my classroom.
“My favorite animal is a Morse Polar.”
(Visions of Polar Bears dashing and dotting away run through my mind.) “What’s a Morse Polar?”
“And my favorite animal is a Palcon. That’s a cross between a puppy and a falcon.”
(I wonder if this student has been reading Daniel or Revelation lately.)
“When they grow up, they become Dalcons. That’s part dog, part falcon.”
